The owner of the New York Stock Exchange<\/span><\/span> is moving deeper into the cryptocurrency sector. Intercontinental Exchange<\/span><\/span> (ICE) has taken a minority stake in global crypto exchange OKX<\/span><\/span>, creating a strategic partnership between one of Wall Street\u2019s core market infrastructure providers and a major digital asset trading platform.<\/p>\n

Sources familiar with the deal say the investment values OKX at around $25 billion<\/strong>, with ICE contributing approximately $200 million<\/strong>. The agreement also gives ICE a seat on OKX\u2019s board.<\/p>\n

However, the real significance of the partnership lies less in the capital investment and more in the integration of market infrastructure<\/strong> between the two companies.<\/p>\n

Linking Traditional Markets<\/a> With Crypto Liquidity<\/h2>\n

Under the agreement, ICE will license OKX\u2019s spot crypto price feeds<\/strong> to support the development of U.S.-regulated cryptocurrency futures contracts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In return, OKX plans to distribute those futures products \u2014 along with tokenized equities linked to NYSE-listed stocks<\/strong> \u2014 to its global user base of roughly 120 million users<\/strong>, most of whom are located outside the United States.<\/p>\n

The initiative still requires regulatory approvals before any products can launch. If approved, the structure could connect two major liquidity ecosystems<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
